What is the MLB career simulator?

A full baseball life you play in the browser: a farm stop, a call-up when you have earned it, then the majors three seasons at a time. Arbitration, the free-agent winter, the September of your last year — all of it lands as a decision, with the season line filling in behind you.

Do I hit or pitch?

That is the first fork, and the two careers barely resemble each other. A hitter is measured against 73 home runs and a .466 average — the real single-season marks, recognized Negro Leagues included. A pitcher answers to a different bench entirely: 59 wins and 513 strikeouts. Same rail, two different games.

Why is there no draft?

Because baseball does not work that way. You start in a farm system and the league decides when you are ready, so the chapter is a call-up rather than a draft slot. Play well in the minors and it comes early; struggle and you wait, which costs you seasons off the front of your prime.

What is the record row across the top?

The real single-season records for whichever way you play, and a count of how many of your seasons actually beat one. It sits at zero for almost every career. It is a benchmark from the public record book — never a rating, and never a claim about any particular player.

What do the chapters mean?

Farm system is where you begin and Call-up is how you arrive. First seasons, Breakthrough, Free agency, Prime years and Veteran years each cover three years of your career. Farewell is the retirement call, and Front office is what you do once the playing is over.

Does free agency actually matter?

It is the biggest lever in the game. The offers that land at that checkpoint set your money and your club for the seasons that follow, and the club you pick changes how often October is on the table. Take the deal or bet on yourself — both are real options and both have consequences.

Can I make the Hall of Fame?

Only by earning it. Honors land when the numbers support them, the finish grades your whole career on an SSS–F ladder, and the plaque follows the run rather than the intention. Most careers do not get there.

What is a baseball career game versus a simulator?

Nothing, as far as the search box is concerned. Both point at this: a career you play out yourself, one decision at a time, scored against what the record book actually says.
