What is the cricket career simulator?
One international career, played in the browser from the academy to the last Test. You earn a first cap, then live the career three seasons at a time — form, selection, the captaincy, the retirement nobody agrees with — with runs and wickets filling a board behind you.
Batter, bowler or all-rounder?
Three careers with three different measuring sticks. A batter is scored against 1,788 Test runs and nine hundreds in a calendar year. A bowler answers to 96 wickets. The all-rounder is held to both at once, which is exactly as hard as it sounds.
How do you get picked?
The academy years set your reputation and the first cap comes when the selectors decide, not when you ask. That is the chapter that replaces a draft here — cricket has no draft, so the debut is the arrival, and how early it comes shapes how many prime years you actually get.
What do the chapters mean?
Academy, then First cap. Early Tests, Breakthrough, Prime, Leadership and Veteran years each cover three seasons. Farewell is the retirement call, and the Selection room is where the career continues once you have stopped playing.
What does the Leadership chapter do?
It is where the captaincy is on the table. Taking it changes what the rest of the career is about — the side's results start attaching to your name, and a title run counts for more than another hundred. Refusing it is a legitimate choice and some of the best careers do.
Are the records real?
They come from the public Test record book — the calendar-year marks for runs, hundreds and wickets — and the row at the top of the board counts only the seasons where your career genuinely beat one. It stays on zero in most careers.
Can I become a Test legend?
The finish grades the whole career on an SSS–F ladder, and legend status follows what the numbers and the honors actually support. World XI selections and Player of the Year land only when a season earns them.
